Robert Mitchell

Robert Mitchell, M.A., B.C.E.T.S., is a project director with All Rise Justice For Vets. Mitchell retired from the New Mexico (NM) Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) where he led the Department for Therapeutic Justice, after serving as the Statewide Program Coordinator for DWI Drug Courts and as a treatment court coordinator. Mitchell was the Governor’s appointee for the director of NM Juvenile Justice Services facilities, following his decade-long role as the alternative sentencing division administrator in San Juan County. Mitchell has served in the first response fields of law enforcement and emergency medicine, and as an officer in the United States Air Force. Mitchell has been a Board-Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress (BCETS) since 2006 and has responded to numerous natural disasters, school mass casualty situations, and other critical incidents. Mitchell holds a Master of Arts degree in Religion from Liberty Theological Seminary and has served as an adjunct instructor in the Philosophy Department at San Juan College for nearly twenty-five years.
