Experienced Criminal Law Practitioner about to start his 7th year with the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Office of the Prosecutor where he helped develop the policies and procedures governing the SRPMIC Wellness Court. He has past experience as a Public Defender Trial Group Assistant Supervisor focusing on assisting mid-level public defenders refine both their trial and negotiating skills in Maricopa County. In a prior life he was a partner at a private firm in Denver, Colorado where he refined his technical and scientific skills learned from his 5 years with the Denver Trial Office of the Colorado Public Defender. During his time at the Maricopa County Public Defender and the Colorado Public Defender, he supervised attorneys assigned to and was personally assigned to several wellness courts representing indigent clients and advocating for their ability to participate in and thrive with this specialized approach to case resolution.
