Recovery capital refers to the assets—physical, financial, social, and community—that can help a person achieve and sustain recovery. Research shows that helping individuals build recovery capital is an essential component of effective treatment. This session will explain the concept of recovery capital and offer concrete guidance for how to help treatment court participants build recovery capital while in the program.
