Intercept Zero of the Sequential Intercept Model originated in Pima County in 2016, and was soon after incorporated into the GAINS Center national model. This session will review the origins of deflections by the justice system to treatment, identify the “secret sauce” to making a successful continuum of both crisis and justice, and review strategies employed by both Pima County and throughout the state. This session will: Review the origin story of Intercept Zero; identify successful components of crisis system integration with justice populations; and, explore success models of Intercept Zero in Arizona
