This workshop introduces practitioners to the importance of identifying their target population and ensuring objective eligibility criteria for all potential participants. By adhering to the eligibility criteria, and conducting the appropriate screening and assessments for youth and families, juvenile treatment courts can effectively address the needs of each participant. This module will also assist practitioners with understanding and implementing the process of diverting youth who do not meet the eligibility criteria away from the formal JTC processing into community-based alternatives.
